hi i'm Jenny....
hi my name is Jenny. I have Williams Syndrome, which is a genetic handicap. I am now 31 years old. I was a Kansas artist who now lives in Liberty, MO. I have been doing my art business for over twelve years with my stepmom Wendi. I want to help raise money for cancer research and also supporting companies and schools who help people with needs like me.
One day I was watching the Oprah show when she had a little girl that was selling lemonade for cancer research. It made me happy because she was making a difference doing something that she liked to do that was meaningful to her. I wanted to be like her because I wanted to make a difference too. It makes me sad when I see people who have cancer because they are sick and they are scared and I want them to know that I care about them by giving back to them by showing my artwork from my heart. My stepmom Wendi is an artist and she saw me draw my cards and thought I could sell them to raise money. I was really nervous I never done anything like this before. I trusted my mom that we could do this. We showed my teachers what I was doing and they bought it all! I was really happy. My transition teacher Kak (Kak Eli Schneider, Washburn Rural High School, Topeka KS) thought we could start a business for me. And so we did!
